Jalyssa & Luna
Hi! My name is Jalyssa, Owner and Seamstress/Sewist for Luna’s Bootique. I'm a 30-year-old Halloween enthusiast who loves all things spooky (although not necessarily scary, I know I know, how dare I right?) and a stay-at-home Alternative Mama to this adorable bundle of joy, Luna. After spending 5 years in the medical field, I was blessed last year with an energetic and spunky little girl. The decision to stay home was both a difficult and simple decision that has changed my life in so many ways. When I'm not busy chasing her around the table in a game of “gonna getcha!” or tripping over any of our four legged, tail wagging children, you can usually find me curled up with a good book, working my way through my ever-growing "to be read" pile, or in the office creating new unique and fun items for your little's closet, and hopefully soon, yours too! As I mentioned before, Halloween is definitely my favorite time of year. Our Name and logo for the Boo-tique definitely stemmed from that love. I am striving to create the best new items that you and your littles just CANNOT resist <3 After all, If you’re anything like me, you can justify your purchases by saying, “OH! But [little] just had to have it!” - So if you're looking for someone who's a little bit quirky, a little bit spooky, and a whole lot of fun, look no further! Kelly
Kelly is our yarn-enthusiast, my sister-in-law, and Luna’s “Auntie K.” Kelly’s career path has turned in an unexpected direction after earning her Master’s degree in Forensic Science and Bachelor’s degree in Physics/Chemistry. She thought she would find herself in a forensic- or science-based career, but after an unfulfilling handful of years in the lab, she decided to switch gears and start a tutoring business (Tangerine Tutoring LLC) and commissioning crocheted goods as a hobby-based side hustle. She loves to tangle with yarn in her spare time and between tutoring her students. She has graciously offered to provide crochet inventory and commissions to our Boo-tique! You’ll enjoy her lovely items much more than my knotty “creations!” Kelly grew up in New Jersey and currently resides in Saint Paul, Minnesota with her husband and pets. She loves spending time in the garden, crafting (clearly!), cartoons, and spending lots of time snuggling her pit bull, Pistachio.
